Emergency Housing
Following the hurricanes that devastated the Sunshine State in
2004, Florida residents -- Realtors®, neighbors, business
owners, workers and citizens -- came together to help each other
recover and return to their normal lives. We realize the
importance of continuing to work together to prepare for natural
disasters and to begin recovery efforts as quickly as possible.
Now, with the tornados of 2007 striking the heart of Central
Florida, the Florida Association of Realtors® and the Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) continue their partnership to
help people displaced by the storms find emergency rental
housing through the Florida Living Network site. Residents can
search for available properties by clicking on the "Emergency
Housing" button at the top right corner, or the "Emergency
Housing" link on the far left-hand side of the Florida Living
Network.
