This is the Sherman Hi/Lo combination auxiliary transmission that will give your 8N Ford tractor 12 speeds forward and 3 reverse. The shifter has 3 positions: overdrive , underdrive, and standard (direct). It will also fit later 9N and 2N 3 speed tractors, NAA tractors, and the 600-800 series tractors with 4 speed transmissions. This hard to find unit has been disassembled, cleaned and inspected thoroughly, and reassembled with any new parts and bearings needed, new gaskets, and a new front seal. You need only to fill it with oil and install it in your tractor. It is in excellent condition with no excessive wear on any of the gears of shafts. Comes with installation instructions, extra shims for setting bearing load, a template for drilling the shifter hole (8N-NAA), and new mounting gaskets. It will be shipped in a sturdy wooden box via FedEx Ground. Guaranteed to be in perfect working condition. Once you've used your tractor with one of these transmissions you'll wonder how you ever got along without it.
