This is the Sherman Hi/Lo combination auxiliary transmission that will give your 8N Ford tractor 12 speeds forward and 3 reverse. The shifter has 3 positions: overdrive , underdrive, and standard (direct). It will also fit later 9N and 2N 3 speed tractors, NAA tractors, and the 600-800 series tractors with 4 speed transmissions. This hard to find unit has been disassembled, cleaned and inspected thoroughly, and reassembled with any new parts and bearings needed, new gaskets, and a new front seal. You need only to fill it with oil and install it in your tractor. It is in excellent condition with no excessive wear on any of the gears of shafts. Comes with installation instructions, extra shims for setting bearing load, a template for drilling the shifter hole (8N-NAA), and new mounting gaskets. It will be shipped in a sturdy wood box via FedEx Ground. Guaranteed to be in perfect working condition. Once you've used your tractor with one of these transmissions you'll wonder how you ever got along without it.

This is the Sherman Step-up auxiliary transmission for Ford 9N, 2N, 8N, NAA tractors. The Step-up or overdrive unit gives your tractor twice the forward and reverse speeds it had before and allows you to maintain the same tractor ground and pto speeds at a much lower engine rpm. Among other advantages, it means you can really whiz down the highway at a breakneck speed if you should so desire. This transmission has been completely disassembled, cleaned and inspected, and reassembled with any new parts needed, a new front seal and gaskets. All gears are in excellent condition. Just add oil and it's ready to install. The shift lever, basic installation instructions, extra bearing load shims, and new mounting gaskets are included. This unique drawbar attaches to the tractor's original underbelly bracket and works with the standard 11 hole drawbar. It will swing to either side and the center bar freely extends about 10 inches to make hooking up to the load much simpler. Once attached, the tractor can back up until the spring loaded pin snaps in and you're ready to go.
