This time of year, a time for looking back and looking forward, always has me setting personal and professional goals for the coming year.  How about you? My writing goals have things on it like finish this or that manuscript, submit more work and etc.  The personal goals are the goals that drive my life, however.  They include things like be a kinder person, enjoy walks with the dog, and be good to myself.  So for you in 2005, I wish you well in everything you do, be it professionally or personally.

I'm very excited about my novella called Sea Change that will be included in an anthology titled, From The Deep, due out in the spring of 2005 from New Concepts Publishing.  It’s a story of what happens when the widow of the unluckiest captain of a whaling vessel out of Nantucket meets up with a mer-man.  A little fantasy, a lot of magic, especially the magic of romance.  More details as they come up.

I’m also working on a novella that had originally been intended for a 2005 Valentine’s Day anthology.  But the anthology fell through and now I'm hoping to hear soon if it will be released by itself. I'll keep you posted.  I'll probably have a give-away in conjunction with its release.  Valentine's Day is such a lovely time to remember romance books. This story, tentatively titled Nicked by Eros, is a contemporary story set in my native Massachusetts, Plymouth no less.  If you remember Miranda’s unlucky sister, Lucy, from The Commitment, you might like this story.    Lucy finally finds love and her own commitment when opposites attract during a February snowstorm in a very historic locale.
