RUPERT BADER 1859-1887

/clipart/lines/traditional.gif

Rupert Bader was born 11MAR1859 and died 01AUG1887. Very little is know of Rupert. He had red or redish hair. On 04SEP1884 he married Amalia Susanne "Mollie" Maurer (05MAR1865 - 23APR1951) at St. Francis DeSales Church in Newark, Ohio. Rupert and Mollie had two children, Elizabeth and Emma Amelia. He died of comsumption and is buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Newark, Ohio. Rupert's tomb stone is shared with Mollie's parents Jacob Maurer and Amelia Paulina Bollinger and her brother John Maurer. This is probably because Mollie's parents had to assume the costs of his burial since he died at the early age of 28 leaving a wife and two small children. The grave sites next to Rupert's are of Joseph Bader and his wife Kresenzia. It has been determined that Joseph and Kresenzia were childless and therefore not Rupert's parents. Rupert is not listed in the 1880 US Census, however, there are six other Baders listed: Catherine, Mary C., William, Joseph, Frank and Lucy. Their relationship to Rupert is unknown.

After the death of Rupert, Mollie remarried. On 03JAN1889 she married Albert Roesner and together they had four children Albert Adolph, Thecla Elizabeth, Harriet Rose and John Peter, who died at 18 months due to menigitis. Mollie is really the pivital figure in the relationships between the Hartman, Bader, Maurer and Rosener families. Her daughter Emma married Georg Hartman and two of Georgs half sisters married brothers of her husband Albert. Augustina Hartman married Adolph Roesner and Regina Hartman married Henry Roesner. Mollie's sister, Mary Magdalina, "Lina" resided at 50 Poplar Street in Newark.
