Photo Restoration & Retouch by Joe Townsend
Pricing
-- The price for a photo restoration, retouch or repair varies, depending on the factors
involved. The primary variables are the extent of
damage and the size of the photo. Additional variables are monotone or color
and the number of people (group*) in the photo that need
restoration.
Small, lightly damaged monotone photos with a single person are $32.99.
Group additional ranges from 10% to 23%, depending on the size of the group and the extent of
individual attention repaired.
The best way to determine the cost for a given restoration
project is for me to have the actual photo in hand;
however, I can provide a ballpark estimate from a scanned image sent by email.
Light Damage is defined as minor scratches, spots, and marks; moderate fading; no
silver fluorescence, tears, major splotches, or
missing parts.
Medium Damage is defined as major or multiple scratches, spots, marks, or splotches, missing elements, or tears;
heavy fading; no silver fluorescence.
Heavy Damage is defined as major damage of various origins, including scratches, marks,
spots, tears, silver fluorescence, and major missing parts; severe fading.

Note: Photo revision completed by computer digital image manipulation, after scanning the original photo print.
