KHS Tandemania Alite

Once my wife and I started a family, I wanted a way to be able to ride while keeping the kids with me.

First we used a trailer.
Next we used a trailer-bike.

Finally, after a bit of convincing and a bit more saving, we got a tandem. The bike is a stock KHS Tandemania Alite.

The only additions to date have been:
Switching the stoker bars out for the old steel bars off my Raleigh Twenty to increase the reach to the kids.
Added a Softride suspension stem.
Added a rear rack.
Added Water Bottle cages,br> Arkel Handlebar Bag (sometimes switched between bikes)
Performance Trunk Bag. I've had for a while.

Future plans:
Add fenders, removeable
Switch back the normal stoker bars now that the kids are taller
Add a front rack for front panniers
Occaisionally put on some knobbies for more real off road use, per my daughter's request. Isn't she just hard core!

This is the bike as of October, 2005.
