Falling Leaves

We have to sneak the rides in where we can in the fall. October was the rainiest in years, both kids play fall sports, and I like to do a lot of yard work as things get cooler, but before they freeze, so we haven't done much riding. Since Saturday was really nice, the Princess Stoker and I decided to hit the road after her soccer game. We headed into the neighborhood where we used to live and started exploring.

	This hillside used to have a great trail. This road was always in the plan, but after 13 years, no-one expected it to actually happen. Ouch.
	Once out of that section we headed up the big hill to the top. Ride towards the light.
	Then down the other side to the bottom near the Linganore Dam.
	After that, up again. This time into a new section that didn't exist when I lived here three yeas ago. This was more trail, but it was also more obvious that development was coming. (rant) Both the ADC map, and the County roads database, show roads which do not exist on the ground. The names aren't too clear either, most in this section are Wood-something. That is ok for two or three roads, but when this section is done, Emergency Medical Services are going to have a heck of a time determining between Woodcrest Place, Terrace, Court and Road. Yes, there are all on this plan. Road namers, please use a little imagination. (/grumpy old paramedic mode)
