Investment Strategies
The following sections will provide detailed information on how to build wealth, understand equity markets, and understand mutual fund and individual stock investing.
old stuff below............
The following links will provide information on what I have found to be useful investment resources. By law, I cannot provide specific buy or sell recomendations, but at times, I may simply state what I have done. This is not to be construed as specific investment advice, but simply a set of resources and helpful hints. For specific investment advice, get yourself a professional investment manager (i.e. Do as I say, not as I do).
The scope of the discussions presented in this section shall be limited to investing in stocks and mutual funds. Albiet, starting your own business, buying real estate, gambling, and grand theft may all prove to be financially viable, however, they are all currently outside of the scope of the discussions in the section.
Long term investing in stocks and mutual funds has historically proven to be one of the best hedges against inflation. Incorporating stocks and mutual funds into your investment strategy should be a top priority.
But most people are generally concerned with "what do I buy", "how much should I pay for it", "when should I buy more", and "when should I sell it". These are all perfectly good questions, and in this section on Investment Strategies, I want to give you some helpful hints on resources that I have found VERY useful in my investing.
Below are some links that will provide you with resources, and sometimes, my insight. Review the link(s) which best describe yourself. In general, the links are in descending order of investment strategy complexity. So after you do your homework, please come back and review links farther down.
