Library Procedures
LIBRARY OUTLINE
1. The WWG Librarian shall not be elected, but appointed and not
be a board member. For the remainder
of this year, he/she could be appointed by the President.
2. Susan Tauck (zoozan@mc.net) has volunteered to be the Guild's first Librarian and
Georgiann Flowers (gf35@earthlink.net) will be her backup.
DUTIES OF THE
LIBRARIAN
- The Librarian will deliver the
requested library materials to members at a WWG
meeting; maintain a record of those materials checked out; maintain the
bags of weaving periodicals and make them available at meetings.
- The Librarian will accept and document
donated or purchased material to the WWG library.
- The Librarian will make a short oral
report at meetings regarding any of the above or any other library issues.
- And, if possible, designate a
substitute to deliver or return materials in her/his absence
- The Librarian will order chosen
materials and submit bills to Treasurer.
PROCEDURE
FOR USING THE LIBRARY
- Library materials list may be accessed
on the WWG website
- Library materials may be requested
only by WWG members
- Requests will be emailed to the
librarian no later than 5 days before a meeting.
4. Checked out material will be returned to the Librarian
at a WWG
meeting or to The Fold. Materials can
be checked out for a one-month period and one one-month renewal period.
5. After two months, a $1.00 per day fine will be
imposed.
- All library materials will be returned
no later than the last meeting of the year.
- Materials checked out during July and
August must be done at The Fold and the Librarian must be notified.
