If you are a hand weaver or interested in related fiber arts and live in northern Illinois or southern Wisconsin, you should consider becoming a Member. We have Members throughout the region, so you can usually find someone to carpool with to our Meetings and Workshops. Click here to see a map of most of our 2007-2008 Member's locations (except for a few that are off the map). We have one or more Members at each of the larger orange circles. We have a very friendly and creative group of over fifty active Members and you will be welcomed to all Guild activities.
The first Membership at a single houshold address is $35 per year and any additional family Memberships at the same mailing address are $10 each. Our Membership year runs from July through June of the following calendar year, and dues are payable in June (preferably at or before the June meeting.) For the 2008-2009 Guild year, we are offering our Newsletter in Adobe .pdf format to go 'green'. That reduces our $35 membership to $30.
Besides the fun of our regular meetings and presentations,
Members receive a great monthly Newsletter and reduced fees for all
Workshops and Show events sponsored by the Guild
. The Guild
also
has a lending library of books, magazines, and videos about
weaving and related subjects, to which Members receive free access.
Members can also place free short term classified ads in our monthly
Newsletter.
