Our 2006 Show at the Old Courthouse Arts Center in Woodstock, Illinois is now history.
The weaving Show had 100 items on display and the spinning Show had nearly 50 items on display.
We had rugs, coverlets, scarves, shawls, tapestries and a wide variety of items to showcase.
We're already beginning to plan for our very special 10th Anniversary Show in 2007 where we'll be celebrating our first decade as a Guild.
Weavers of every experience level are invited to enter items in our Show.
Our Guild Members and our many Show visitors enjoy seeing our wide variety of creative hand woven items.
Our Guild Challenge this year was 'Thrills of Twills'.
Each year, our Guild Challenge carries a different 'theme' which our Members use to create weavings which reflect the year's theme.
We'll be exhibiting our 'Twists and Turns of Ten' Challenge at our 2007 Show!
Our weaving Show judge this year was Daryl Lancaster.
We again co-hosted our Show with the Hollow Tree Spinners and the spinning judge was Susan McFarland.
Our opening reception was Sunday, October 8th with refreshments being served and Gary Plazyk providing wonderful music.
Make sure you plan to visit our Show around October 2007. AND, if you're a weaver, please consider entering an item or two in our special 2007 Show !
