Then there was the trip:
Belgium and the Netherlands

Restaurant's with the best food around.

Tommy's__This bistro was recommended to us buy a young lady at a gift shop on the Main square in Brugge. It was quite a picturesque walk to find it. We arrived before the restaurant opened. So we went next door to a pub and waited. The food was great. Chrissy and I had a cooked chicken with a white coconut sauce with pineapple slices and rice. Anne had a haddock with a bread topping. They did not want us to miss out on the treat of Belguim french fries, so the owner brought us a large bowl. Ice cream Parlor__ Ice Cream Parlor__ This is the bistro where we ate on our last night in Brugge. It was raining and we did not want to go far. This bistro was accross the street from our Bed and Breakfast. I had

a steak, Anne had lamb chops and asparagus, and Chrissy had a chicken salad. She also tasted Anne lamb chops and liked them. We did not know that this was an Ice Cream parlor until we all ordered desert. I had a vanilla ice cream, with

raspberry sauce and diced peaches and cream . Chrissy had vanilla ice cream with raspberry sauce and sliced strawberries and cream. Anne had what we call poundcake and cream, a butter creamcake.

Cafe Louise__

This was the restaurant where we had our first meal in Brussels. I had a "whole" chicken, but it was what we call a cornish hen, Anne had fish soup and Chrissy had her first taste of salmon. It was the best Anne ever tasted. This resturant set the tone for the whole trip.

Pub next to Tommy's__

This is the pub that we stopped, and waited for Tommy's to open.

After a full day at the Keukenhoff tulip gardens, eight family members when to this Italian restaurant for a very lovely and lively dinner on our last night in Holland. It was on the Broadwalk, from one beach to another. We all took the tram, a great way to get around town in Europe.
