Mother Blessing Ceremony

~Nurtures, honors and celebrates a woman's transition into motherhood as a rite of passage~

We each light a candle.

Mom is pampered.

We each offer a reading, a poem, a song, or a blessing.

Mehndi on belly, hands, and/or feet can be part of the ceremony.

We share a delicious potluck meal!

Women friends and family come together to give their love, wisdom and support that will empower the mother for the labor and birth she has ahead of her. It includes many elements, such as meaningful ritual, blessings from guests, hand and foot massage, music, potluck feast, and much more. This ceremony can be tailored to include other aspects desired by each different mom. It can include various religious traditions, sacred ritual, aromatherapy, singing or chanting, and candle lighting. It can also include a belly cast or Mehndi belly design.
The $100 fee includes all the supplies for the ceremony. It normally lasts 1-1 1/2 hours, and then we continue to enjoy each others company as we share a meal.
