Royal Gorge is located on the Arkansas River, approximately 45 miles west of Pueblo. There are several ways of seeing the gorge.One way is to enter the private amusement park, at the top of the gorge. The amusement park features the world famous Royal Gorge Suspension Brigde. Another way to explore the gorge is to ride through the gorge on the Canyon City & Royal Gorge tourist railroad, from Canon City. About the only other way is to ride through the gorge on a raft on the Arkansas River.
