MIDDLE PARK
Colorado
Middle Park, west of the front range, is the home of such
towns as Winter Park, Fraser, and Granby. It is reached from the
east via Berthoud Pass. Watch the guard rails here. Fraser typically
is one of the coldest places in Colorado during the winter months.
Winter Park is home of the Winter Park Ski Resort. From Granby,
you can reach Trail Ridge Road and Estes Park.
Amtrak's California Zepher stops at Granby. During the
winter weekends, the Rio Grande Ski Train takes skiers from Denver
to Winter Park, for skiing, a 2 hour trip, each way. The Ski Train
drops you right at the Winter Park Ski Resort.
The pictures below give you a feel for the area during
the Summer months.
