The clone piloted ARC-170 starfighters open their wings into an X-wing-like shape. The ray-shield lowers on the hangars of the Command ship. Droid Tri-Fighters emerge. The Jedi starfighters extend the stability foils on the ends of their wings. Anakin- "This is where the fun begins. Ten Vulture droids straight ahead, coming down on the left side." Kenobi- "Add five Tri-fighters on the right ... Anakin- "I'm going head-to-head. See you." Kenobi- "Take it easy, Anakin." Odd Ball- "I'm on your right, Red Leader." Anakin- "Incoming!!! Kenobi- "Five more on the right!" All hell breaks loose. The Jedi ships loop around behind the Tri-fighters and destroy them. Kenobi- "I'm going high and right." Anakin- "Hnag on there are four more of them!" Kenobi- "Stay with me ... swing back and right ... help me engage. Back off ... let them pass between us." Anakin- "I'm coming around. I'm coming around on your tail." Kenobi- "All right, engage ... and hurry. These droids are all over me like a rash." In one incredible move, Anakin swings in behind the Tri-fighters, blowing them away one by one until only one is left. R2 lets out a howl as Anakin accelerates past the last fighter, slams on his brakes, flips is ship around and blasts the fighter from the front. Anakin looks behind him. Kenobi- "Anakin, you have four on your tail!" Anakin- "I know! I know!" Kenobi- "Four more closing from your left!" Anakin- "I know! I know!" Kenobi- "Break right and go high." Anakin- "I'm going low and left." Kenobi(to himself)- "He still has much to learn." Anakin flys even closer to the massive ship. Anakin- "Hang on R2, Obi-Wan do you copy? I'm going to pull them through the needle." Kenobi- "Too dangerous. First Jedi rule: "Survive." Anakin- "Sorry, no choice. Come down here and thin them out a little." Obi-Wan swoops down behind the droids chasing Anakin. Kenobi(to R4)- "Just keep me steady ... hold on ... not yet ... now break left!" Obi-Wan fires broadside destroying the fighters as Anakin heads into a trench on the Command ship's hull. The trench ends in a conning tower with a small slit between two main struts. Kenobi- "You'll never get through there Anakin! It's too tight!!" Anakin- "Easy R2 ... we've done this before." Kenobi- "Use the Force, think yourself through, the ship will follow." R2 squeals in panic. Anakin- "Wrong thought, R2." Anakin slips through the narrow gap. The following ships explode. Anakin- "I'm through!" Many ARC fighters are systematically destroyed. Odd Ball- "There are too many of them!" Clone Pilot- "I'm on your wing. Break left! Break left! They're all over me! Get them off my ..." Anakin- "I'm going to help them out!" Kenobi- "No, no! They're doing their job so we can do ours. Head for the Command ship!" As yet another Clione ship explodes, a Tri-Droid fires it's missiles at the Jedi. Anakin- "Missiles! Pull up! The Jedi split up. Anakin barrel rolls causing the two missiles following him to hit each other. Obi-Wan banks to the right and his missie streaks past. Kenobi- "They overshot us." As the missile streaks beside his ship it explodes, rocking Obi-Wan and R4. Kenobi- Flying is for droids." Suddenly more missiles explode into silver fragments. They release small metallic orbs that transform into little buzzsaw droids. These droids attach themselves to the Jedi starfighters and begin to saw at them. Kenobi- "I'm hit! Anakin!" Anakin- "I see them. Buzz-Droids!" One of the droids saws off R4-P17's head. Kenobi- “Oh Dear. They're shutting down all the controls.” Anakin- "Move to the right so I can get a clear shot at them." Kenobi- “The mission. Get to the Command ship. I'm running out of tricks here.” Anakin begins to fire on Obi-Wan's ship. He blasts two Buzz-Droids and then hits the ship. Kenobi- "In the name of ..." Anakin- "Steady ... steady." Anakin swiftly maneuvers his fighter above Obi-Wan. He then deftly plucks the buzzsaw droids off of Obi-Wan's ship with his fighter's wingtips. One of the buzzsaw droids crawls onto Anakin's fighter and approaches R2-D2. R2 shocks the droid with one of his gadgets and it falls off. Obi-Wan spins out of control toward the hangar of the Separatist’s command ship. Anakoin- "Stay on my wing ... the General's Command ship. Head for the hangar." Kenobi- “Have you noticed that the shields are still up?" Anakin- “Oh?!?! Sorry, Master.” Kenobi- "I have a bad feeling about this." Obi-Wan begins to get nervous as his starfighter rockets closer to "The Invisible Hand". This is the same command ship that Count Dooku is holding Palpatine captive on. Anakin spins in-between enemy ships and blows up the hangar’s sensor arrays, then loops back around to the hangar entrance. Kenobi's ship makes it inside the hangar bay of "The Invisible Hand." As the clone fighters and Republic warships exchange fire with the Separatists many ships are crippled or completely obliterated. One Republic support cruiser lurches to a halt as a huge blast tears it's side apart. Hundreds of clones are jettisoned into space. |
