Atlas produced a model of Clinchfield's early GP38s, painted in the "as delivered" light gray/yellow paint scheme, and are already prototypically correct as far as DB style, horns, etc..  So I've taken the opportunity to get this one engine in this paint scheme, and will keep it as it is.

Eventually, I plan on superdetailing this engine with grab irons, Z couplers, and the like.  But since it is already this close to the prototype, I will spend time modifying engines that aren't prototypically correct and/or in the correct paint scheme before I superdetail this one.

 

Meanwhile, this engine is used in operating sessions.
