Southern 2071 is an Atlas GP7 that is already factory painted for the Southern Railway.  I will keep this paint job and the number (especially since the number boards are also already done).  In addition to the paint, the engine is currently prototypically accurate (aside from some add-on details like horns), so this engine will be super-detailed after the others are finished.

I will carefully shave off the cast on details that I am replacing (carefully because I am keeping the paint job), then I will add grab irons, lift rings, wipers, sunshades, Southern/NW nose bell, uncoupling levers, m.u. hoses, firecracker ant., stanchions/handrails, and Z couplers.  I will also try to get a set of horns closer to the prototype.

This engine is currently used in operations.
