Welcome to my web page.  I am currently seeking employment where I can utilize my skills gained from Purchasing, Logistics, Inventory and Production Control.   I am active in NAPM-Akron, an affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management.

 

I have Purchasing and Production/Inventory Control experience.  I have purchased raw materials such as Copper, Aluminum, Ferrous and Non Ferrous Bar Stock, Plastic Extrusions, Injection Molded and Thermoformed Plastics, Investment, Sand and Die Castings, Stampings Machined Items and Metal fabrications.  I have also bought MRO items, and subcontract services in a Job Shop environment.  I have trained and supervised assistant buyers.  I have sourced items in Europe, Asia, and Mexico.  I am experienced managing suppliers in an environment of tight deliveries and competitive pricing.  I have worked in ISO, QS, and AS quality systems.

 

I also have experience with MRP/ERP programs (M2M, Syteline, JD Edwards).  I have experience with Microsoft Office 95, 97 and 2000 and have experience with Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.  I also have experience with Lotus Notes. 

 

I am a Certified Purchasing Manager and have been re-certified in 1999.  I believe in continuous improvement and keeping up with the latest methods of Supply Chain and Business Management.

 

Although I would prefer to stay in Northeastern Ohio, I am willing to consider re-location.

Ø      Located new supplier for brass, which saved 24% through lower prices, lower order quantity and lower freight.
