Make that Azimuth Adjustment Smooth!

I can't take credit for this one, but it works so well that I have to make sure it gets passed on. Simply remove your wedge from the tripod and put 2 old CD's (AOL or Rap music recommended) over the central bolt. Put the wedge back on and you are done. You will now find that you can fully tighten the central bolt and leave it that way even during adjustment. Drift alignments will be much easier and quicker when you can just leave the central bolt tight. The action will be much smoother and you are guaranteed to increase the lifespan of your fine azimuth adjuster by 10 times! Add a dab of grease to those adjuster screw threads while you're at it. I have seen posts joking about 100 uses for AOL disks but none have been as good as this!
