Here are some astrophotos submitted by LX50 HTPP members...

Photos above submitted by Gary McKenzie. Taken through Gary's 8" LX50 mounted on a homemade wooden tripod. Imaged at F50 using a TeleVue 5X Barlow and a homebuilt Cookbook 245 CCD Camera. Exposure time was .2 seconds. Several exposures were averaged to make each final image. Procesing was by dark subtraction, flat fielding, and unsharp masking. By Gary McKenzie and Maurice Valimberti. JBlessing: Quite impressive detail guys! Nice job!

The photos above of the 1st quarter Moon, the Dumbell nebula, and Orion were shot by Dave Messier through his 10" LX50.
The Moon shot was at F10 with Fuji 100 film. The Dumbell was shot at F6.3 on Kodak Gold 1000, it was a 15 minute manually guided exposure.
The Orion Nebula was a 25 minute exposure on Fuji 400 Superia at F5.5.
JBlessing: Unfortunately, I had to shrink and crop these images due to website limitations, but they are stunning nonetheless!
