JANET SKIDMORE danced, choreographed, and taught extensively in Chicago, where she founded Add
Water & Stir improvisation company. Since relocating to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in 1997, Ms. Skidmore has become a certified leader of the InterPlay improvisation technique and a graduate of the Brave
New Institute, the theater improvisation school founded by Dudley Riggs. Ms. Skidmore currently directs Just Add Water, a performance company which improvises its work in the moment, and which weaves together
movement, storytelling, and spoken word. She also teaches school residencies through Young Audiences of Minnesota, the Minnesota State Arts Board, and independently.
