Damsel Flies
Photo Album ] Some Northwest Trout Flies ] Fly Fishing Links ] What's New ]

damsels.jpg (30713 bytes) Damsel fly nymphs are an effective pattern all year. Like chironimids, they are prevalent in almost all lakes, and the trout are used to seeing them, especially during their emergence in Spring.

They occur in a variety colors, but shades of green are most common.

Long marabou tails help give these flies action that mimics the swimming action of the real bugs.

Sizes 8-14 are the usual sizes I fish.
