Tired of looking at or entering a password every time Windows
boots-up... Tired of having to select "Cancel"...?
You can remove the "log-in screen" in a
couple of ways... Pick the method that appeals to you and follow the
steps below:

1. Change Your Password to a 'Null'
Password:-
- Click "Start"
- Click "Settings". The Settings Menu will
open.
- Click "Control Panel". The Control Panel
will open.
- Select "Passwords"
- Select the "Change Passwords" tab on the Passwords
Properties Sheet.
- Click on "Change Windows Passwords" button.
- Type your 'old' password (if you have an 'old'
password) in the first box; otherwise leave it blank.
- Leave the other two boxes, blank.
- Click "OK"

2. 'Hack' the Registry:-
NOTE: If
you decide to 'hack' the Registry, please be sure to read the
Registry Information page and,
perhpas, consider backing up your current settings before proceeding.
- Launch the Registry Editor
- Select "Start"
- Select "Run"
- Enter the term "REGEDIT" in the box
- Navigate to the Registry Key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current
Version\Winlogon
- Add the following 'new' strings and their respective 'new' values;
or, modify the values, if the strings are already present.
- DontDisplayLastUserName="0"
- DefaultUserName="anyname"
- DefaultPassword="anypassword"
- AutoAdminLogon="1"
