This is picture of the Beatty sisters, Anne and Martha, and their father Ralph. Every time they show up together trouble breaks
out, and we have to call Ralph to come take charge of them. The young ladies are cheerful and polite, but they are surrounded by a miasma that guarantees social turbulence in groups of more than six people. If Anne is here alone, nothing unusual happens, and likewise if Martha is here alone; but if they're both here and there's a crowd, we just call Ralph because by the time he gets here, things will already be getting out of hand. Ralph doesn't really have to do anything: everything just calms down when he arrives. It's all embarassing and inconvenient, but we're not going to do anything about it because it's not their Fault.
