These modifications were legal up until 1999, when an executive order banned the import of PSG-1 rifles. This can only be done at this time if:

The HK-91 or clone has the requisite number of U.S. parts to make it a U.S. rifle.
OR
The rifle was in this state prior to 1999.

NOTE - THIS PAGE IS INTENDED FOR THE EDUCATION OF FIREARMS ENTHUSIASTS. IT IS NOT MEANT TO TAKE THE PLACE OF CONTACT WITH THE ATF. REMEMBER, IT IS USUALLY BETTER TO DEAL WITH THE WASHINGTON DC ATF TECHNICAL BRANCH. I HAVE FOUND MANY STATE OR LOCAL OFFICES ARE NOT AS WELL INFORMED. ALSO, BE SURE THAT ANY MODIFICATIONS DO NOT VIOLATE ANY OTHER FEDERAL, STATE OR LOCAL LAWS AND/OR ORDNANCES.
