12 weekends = 3 months. Since work can't even sell me the paint (Hazardous chemicals! they say...) I went and saw Sonny, shot a little shit, showed him the pictures of our project, and walked out with all the paint I needed—for free! So, for all your auto body needs, contact Sonny New at Renew Paint & Body Services 480-940-2447. (Cool! We have a sponsor!) Still without our supervisor, I fabricated out an electrical and fuel line conduits, had some fun with the leftover sheet metal, painted and did some more riveting—maybe 300 now? 1200 to go? The glorious supervisor gets back this week, so then next weekend, maybe, it's back to the cockpit—with good eats, too!

Due to the reliability of modern airline travel, weekend 13 was a bust, with only loc-tite on three bolts and a installation of only a handful of rivets! Weekend 14: Even after a F#*^ up, (sharp knife vs. lexan,) it worked out near perfect. Then I boxed up the bad seat and forgot it! We'll send it back next week. Next weekend: Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!

We didn't get too much done this weekend, just drilled some holes Friday night. On Saturday, I put in ten screws with nuts and washers then popped six rivets. We've basically finished off the canopy tracks and side rails, making it all work better. We cut some tubing on Sunday and also added a new instrument to the list.

These last two weekends, with the Supervisors and Inspectors all back, and then with a change in the winds, ( Monsoon,) we got a lot done. We finished off the canopies, (which works and looks great!) added another 50 or 100 rivets, (1000 or so left,) also we got serious with the instruments and started cutting holes with reckless abandon. I think they're all in the right places. The key word is 'modular.'

![]() This just might work. |
![]() Yep, with reckless abandon. |
![]() Ready to see if it works? |
![]() Well, it worked! |
![]() The Inspectors are back at it again. (And impressed!) |
![]() Too bad they'll never look this clear again. |
