These SeaRey pages will be dedicated to the building of a Progressive Aerodyne SeaRey. We plan to document what we're doing from the time the box arrives at Stoney Ranch Aviation building headquarters, to the aircraft's completion and then the eventual flight to Southeast Alaska and beyond.

Out of the Box: March 30, 2004

It's here! We're unpacking the crate to see what we have. We'll do more precise sorting this weekend.

  

First Weekend: April 3 & 4, 2004

The first weekend and all went well. All the parts fit, though finding and sorting them can be a two person job. The box makes a great workbench.

Three or six (?) hours later, The Main Bulkhead and Forward cockpit assembly.
After a 3:00 AM sorting binge, the next afternoon The Root support, Boom and Fuel tank.	and some upholstery for fun.

Weekend 2 (Easter): April 9 & 10, 2004

Busy weekend and we got a lot done and most of it went well.

Vertical fin and root beam installed.	Installing the fuselage into the hull can be a bit stressful, but it worked.
