I enlisted in the Marines in January of '66. After basic training, I was almost immediately sent over to Viet Nam in '66! Where I was for 9 months  until  I stepped on a land mine and injured my foot and leg. Although I have nerve damage to my foot and leg (May 11th, 1967); I do know that I made it out of Viet Nam in a lot better shape than a lot of the other service men! (who either died or are spending  the rest of their lives paralyzed and helpless in hospitals!)

I graduated from Elmira Free Academy (EFA) in 1965! I also have an associate of science degree from Elmira College! Due to my disabilities from the Viet Nam War I retired on 9-11-01 from the post office.
