    Current DHL Projects

Wanting to  start practice throwing DHL I started modifying some of my existing stock of HLs. There where some commercially available DHL gliders out but none of the Peg variety.  I'll eventually purchase a commercial DHL when the smoke clears.

Below are some pics and information on some of my current projects. Published in hopes it might be of some help to people wanting to dabble in Discus hand launching before spending the big bucks.

Test DHLG. Modified Logic fuse with Focus Boom and tail group. A little heavy at 9.2 ounces but it has an aileron wing, stronger boom.

Modified an old aileron logic wing with trilerons to help reduce flutter on launch.

Another Logic wing being modified. used a carbon strip wet sanded and bonded with epoxy put in beds with lots of weight on top and let cure overnight. Kevlar rod patch wet sanded after applying with foam safe CA. Put some Kevlar on other wing tip as you'll tend to drag it on the ground.
