Misc: An interesting street-stlye-only park. Well worth a visit, hopefully they will soon fix the strange "water hazard" pictured here. Opening day was a HUGE event, Tony Hawk and other extremely note-worthy professionals came to open the park. Estimates claimed over 3000 people were there to see Mr. Hawk. Personally, in my household, we have great respect for Tony Hawk, but he isn't a favorite. Ed Templeton, not only an excellent skater but an outstanding artist to boot, was the skater my son was happily surprised to see at the demo. My son was able to shake Mr. Templeton's hand and express his huge appreciation for Mr. Templeton's influence on his life. There is a drinking fountain near the playground and porta potties were set-up for opening day. There are permanant restrooms and a better drinking fountain in the nearby pool complex. There are picnic tables to sit at. I didn't see a payphone but imagine it wouldn't be too hard to find one.
