Misc: Leaving Toledo's very sad little park and heading to Siletz, we were not hopeful, but Siletz turned out to be a happy surprise. It had only been open a few weeks when we arrived, but already the bikers had covered the park in black skid marks. It's a challenging park, well worth the visit despite some seriously bad pockets. If you are going to Siletz from Lincoln City, I recommend driving the extra five miles and going via Hwy101 to Hwy20 instead of using Hwy229. Hwy229 is super slow due to it's winding 25mph constant curves. One Porta-Potty. No drinking fountain. No payphone.
