Questions/Contacts: City of Ontario, Parks and Cemetaries Dept., 444 SW 4th St., Ontario, OR. 97914, Ph:541.889.8574 Nearest Skateboard Shop: Making Tracks Cyclery, 298 S. Oregon St., Ontario Ph: 541.889.5575 HRS: TUE-SAT 10-5:30, Closed MON & SUN. Website: www.shopmakingtracks.com. Nice shop, owner very involved in the skateboarding community, sponsers competitions at the Payette skatepark to earn money to hopefully improve the Ontario skatepark. Misc: I hope this town will soon provide it's skaters with a nicer park. This park is very sad. It looks like more thought, time and money was spent on the entrance into the skating area instead of the skate "park" itself. Visit and support the Ontario skateshop, "Making Tracks," which is working towards improving the skatepark. Than drive across the border into Payette Idaho and skate their fun skatepark located in Payette City Park instead of spending anytime at Ontario's current skatepark. No restrooms, seasonal drinking fountain, no payphone in sight. |
