High Temperature Seals and Frits


Our engineering team will assist you with your material selections, its fabrication (grinding, lapping, polishing, etc.), and configurations of the seals.

One of the important factors to be seriously considered in design is how to treat the residual stress from the thermal expansion mismatch of the two dissimilar materials. The materials experienced include sapphire, polycrystalline Al2O3 up to 99.8%, AlN, BeO, Si3N4, SiC, etc. with Ni/Fe/Co alloy, Ti, Ni alloy, SST, etc. We will like to assist you in the areas of fabrication for their critical parameters such as surface finish, microcracks (severe surface damage) from the diamond grinding, chemical and physical polishing, appropriate high temperature annealing, stress relief (relaxation), etc.
