Background

Heather Beatty received a Bachelor of Science degree in geoscience from Texas Tech University in 1990. After she received her Master of Science degree in geology in 1992, Heather began working for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. She was in the TCEQ Lubbock Regional Office until 1997, as a Senior Petroleum Storage Tank Investigator.

Since 1997, Heather has worked with the TCEQ Austin Regional Office as an Senior Environmental Investigator in the Edwards Aquifer protection program. Her duties include reviewing geologic assessments and protection plans for sites on the Edwards Aquifer Recharge and Transition Zones. Compliance investigations in the program focus on installation and maintenance of various best management practices.

Heather is a licensed professional geoscientist in Texas.
