News
I'll post updates here from time to time, posts are in chronological order with the newest at the top and oldest on bottom.
12/16/05: I'm back after a long absence. Things have been really really crazy lately and I havn't been able to update for a while. I've started a second story now called the Fall of Reach so check it out and review it on the forum if you want. Feedback is always welcome. 10/15/05: Ok as requested I put up the link to the Halo Font so you can now download it in the Media section 10/8/05: After searching the untamed wild that is the Bungie forums I have found lots of stuff to add to the Hidden Messages section and have also put up the first part of my story, as a side note I have put up a few new sayings in the quotes section also.. I'm going to put a shout box in one of these days so people don't have to post their suggestions on the Sci-fi forum (by all means do visit the forum we could use new members), I have the code and everything but just can't seem to get it to work. 10/06/05: Ok really exciting news on the Halo movie, Bungie has stated that Peter Jackson will be the executive producer behind the movie, maybe this will quell my own, and other's fears that the Movie will bomb and instead might be among the few video game based movies that don't suck, here's the article. Also I have added the Hidden Messages and Glitches pages to the Miscellaneous section. 9/26/05: The Halo maps are currently down so I'm sorry about that minor inconvenience. I'm beginning to put up info for the Halo 2 maps now that they're all out. I've found out what the rest of the skulls do and have posted them accordingly, I'll also be adding the weapon respawn times to each of the maps as I go so look out for those in the near future. On top of that I have also added two new Gametypes in the Multiplayer Gametypes section so check those out also. Finally I've added one or two new pictures in the Photos section and also added the Collector's edition DVD extras and Conversations from the Universe section in the Miscellaneous section so check those out. 8/29/03: Tomorrow the new maps become free for downloading and in accordance with that Bungie is releasing new multiplayer playlists and removing some old ones as well. Bungie has confirmed Multi-Team and Team Snipers playlists as well as others. Be sure to download the new maps by tomorrow because once the 30th has rolled around they will be assimilated into the matchmaking system and you risk getting booted from a game if you don't have them.( come on they're free people) Bungie plans on altering the Xbox live playlists every 6-8 weeks. Also I have figured out what has been causing the Diary of a Noob to be messed up and have fixed it so you can read it now. 8/23/05: Hey guys new info on the Halo movie, bungie just put this article up on their site this morning so check it out cause Bungie's been pretty tight lipped about the movie not all that different from when they were working on Halo 2.Also I added Halo2Gametypes.com to the links page, they've got some pretty cool Gametypes there and give very detailed instructions to set the game options up for each gametype. Finally, in these past months there has a man who goes by the name of Wasabe who has been making some very humorous posts in the Bungie forums about his experiences as a newbie in the cruel, cruel world of Halo 2 on Xbox live. I have put copies of the original posts in the Miscellaneous section so check em' out they're pretty funny. 8/15/05: I haven't had the time to update the site in a while I've been really busy over the summer. I went on two separate two and a half week trips and I've had to to summer school so that's why I have not been around lately. Anyway, Bungie recently put up a Link to artist Craig Mullins who's works might look familiar to those of you who own the Halo Art Book, Don't own it? Well here's some pictures, pic 1 pic 2. Also I've added the link to the Joyride studios site in the links page, Joyride makes some pretty cool Halo action figures and they make stuff for other things as well as Halo such as MechAssault and Nintendo. One last thing before I go Bungie said in their Weekly What's Update they talked about New Xbox live playlists that should come out in September here's the article. 6/15/05: I've finally put up the Halo timeline although I can't take credit for it I just put in the hyperlink to HBO but same difference. I've also updated the Halo 2 quotes again put in 2 new picture files although for some messed up reason they won't work. Please disregard the bottom left menu entitled test as I'm just testing my new layout for my site which I'll try to implement as soon as/if possible. 6/05/05: Ok I've updated the Marine and Grunt quotes. (The newest quotes can be found at the bottom of each of their respective categories) 6/03/05: Ok I've updated the Human Characters page and the Flood Factions page with a rare Flood type nicknamed the "Juggernaught" by those who found it. Also, on another note I would like to inform everyone that school's almost out. Yay! 5/29/05: I have come up with a new thing to taunt my enemies with, whenever they're sucking or being noobs then all you do is call them niblets here is a diagram of a niblet.
So there you have it if anyone is annoying you then you simply call them a niblet or yell SKEET SKEET SKEET SKEET SKEET right after they die and you're almost guaranteed to get some really funny responses/insults. 5/24/05: I've put up the clan page but its not done because I haven't cut anyone yet but I've put people I know are on for sure up and am still thinkin about those movies...... 5/21/05: I don't do go off topic often but I feel I must, yesterday I saw Star Wars Episode III and it was so awesome even though it ended with almost all the Jedi dead and the Republic heading towards a transformation into a militarily minded distopian dictatorship. Anyway enough of Star Wars, I have also found out that Warlock sucks at anything besides slayer games and even then those are pretty one sided most of the time. I am planning on making a few Halo movies involving actual tricks and some random stuff which I will put on the site when/if I ever get around to making them (getting started is the hardest part) I think that they'll probably be something funny that parodies Halo, nothing real serious but I may do something involving Halo action figures one day, say a take on a campaign type level or something. I'm resuming work on my timeline and will have to learn how to format it to FrontPage. 5-02-05: Well Bungie finally did it. Those evil #@!?#$%* deleted everyone's ranking EVEN MINE! The rank that I spent about half a month getting if you add all the time up. But every cloud has a silver lining bungie did add two new game modes ( I think, I cant really remember right now) there's Team Preview, and Double Team. Team Preview is matchmaking on the maps that you have to pay for and Double Team is just like it sounds you and another player against two other enemies. The deletion of the rank does set up all those cheating losers back to square one so their screwed (ha ha you stupid %$@*&%#, so that's good. Bungie also added in the two free maps Containment and Warlock into the original matchmaking play lists just to keep things fresh. 4-27-05: Two days ago the first of the new maps became available, Containment and Warlock were available free for download while Turf and Sanctuary were available for $5.99. Being a cheapskate I only got the free ones seeing as they're going to be free in January (or so I've been told) anyway here's a description of each level (well at least the ones I have). Containment: This is a really cool map take Burial Mounds, Blood Gulch 2.0 (Coagulation), and Sidewinder and you might have something close to Containment here's some of the features.
Warlock: This map is ok and a lot like Wizard in Halo but Instead of resembling part of the Pillar of Autumn it resembles Forerunner ruins. The part I really enjoyed was how there were lots of plants for people to hide behind and it was also darker and raining which added a dark effect to the level which I think turned out quite nicely. The level isn't really anything new and people who remember Wizard should have no trouble getting around.
