UNSC weapons
Assault Rifle: Also known as the MA5B-I
rifle is gas-operated and magazine-fed. It fires 7.62mm armor-piercing rounds.
Rate of fire is limited by a soldier's ability to aim, fire and change
magazines. Short, controlled bursts are more accurate than fully automatic fire.
The MA5B's integrated computer displays rounds left in the magazine and the
relative direction of the gas giant, Threshold, for point of reference. This
feature is particularly useful for orienting you in areas where it's easy to get
turned around and lose your sense of direction.

This weapon can utilize varying types of ammunition, including
"shredder" rounds (for lightly-armored infantry), and armor-piercing
HE rounds (for moderately, and heavily armored infantry). This weapons also
includes a built-in flashlight for low-light situations. Slightly modified
versions of the MA5B's barrel can be made to support a silencer for covert
missions where both power, and discretion is required.
The MA5B Rifle is the latest model of the MA series. The MA3, and MA2Bs were the
standard rifles in 2525, but the newest model, the MA5B, is the current standard
Marine rifle, and is one of the most versatile weapons in the Marine's arsenal.
Ammunition: M-118 7.62x51mm FMJ-AP rounds
Clip Size: 60 rounds; 10 max extra clips - 600 rounds
Ammo Packs: 4 clips - 240 Rounds
Pistol: The M6D Personal Defense Weapon is the standard sidearm
of human military personnel. The M6D (also known as the HE due to its standard
explosive ammunition) is compact and very accurate.
This variant on the M6 pistol is a recoil-operated,
magazine-fed handgun. It is is
sued
with a smart-linked scope capable of 2X magnification. It fires 12.7x40mm
semi-armor-piercing, high explosive rounds. It can shoot either semi-automatic
or automatic fire. This powerful weapon can utilize multiple types of ammo
including armor-penetration rounds, and explosive-tipped rounds.
Shot placement is very important. The only shot that guarantees immediate and
total incapacitation is one roughly centered in the head, above a horizontal
line passing through the ear opening and below the crown of the alien skull.
(this describes the pistol used in Halo there is also the M6C Magnum and M6B
pistols featured in Halo 2)
Ammunition: M-225 12.7x40mm SAP-HP rounds
Clip Size: 12 rounds; 10 max extra magazines - 120 rounds
Ammo Packs: 4 clips - 48 rounds
Sniper Rifle: The SRS99C AM is the standard sniper rifle of the
UNSC Marine Corps (SRS stands for sniper rifle system and the AM designates the
rifle's antimateriel role). The
scope comes with 20X zoom, though the variant S2-AM is issued with a variable
zoom with 2X, 8X, and 10X. They both use the same caliber rounds, though the
standard SRS99C uses more compressed gas for the round to travel further for
eliminating targets further away than the modified S2 AM is capable of reaching.
Ammunition: 14.5x114mm APFSDS rounds
Clip Size: 4 rounds; 6 max extra clips - 24 rounds
Ammo Packs: 4 clips - 16 rounds
Rocket Launcher: Commonly called the "Jackhammer, or "Spanker"
(due to the SPNKr rockets it fires) by the Marines, the M19 SSM
(Surface-to-Surface Missile) is a man-portable and double-barreled
shoulder-fired rocket launcher. It has two
major components, the launcher and the magazine. The magazine (the expendable
part of the system) contains two 102mm shaped-charge, high-explosive rockets. It
is designed for fast, easy detachment from the launcher. The launcher contains
the sighting and fire control systems. The launcher is issued with a small 2X
smart-linked scope for sighting medium-range targets.
Ammunition: SNPKr 102mm SC-HE rockets
Clip Size: 2 rockets; 4 extra magazines - 8 rockets
Ammo Cases: 1 magazine - 2 rockets
Shotgun: The M90
Tactical
shotgun is a pump-action magazine-fed (dual tubular non-detachable type) weapon.
It fires 8 gauge magnum (3.5") rounds. This weapon is very effective
against targets at close range and may be used to engage several targets
simultaneously at medium and long range. This weapon also includes a built-in
flashlight in the pump grip for low-light situations
Weapon Type: M90-CAWS (Close Assault Weapon System) Shotgun
Ammunition: Soellkraft-Hippo 8 gauge (3.5") Magnum 15P-00B shells
Clip Size: 12 shells; 60 shells
Ammo Cases: 24 shells
Fragmentation Grenade: The M9 high-explosive, dual-purpose
grenade is a thrown fragmentation device. Use it to suppress or disable
vehicles, except tanks. It can be thrown, rolled, bounced or ricocheted into
places direct fire weapons can't reach.

Battle Rifle: The battle rifle is the newest in UNSC standard weaponry for
ground troops. It fires KAT 9.5x40mm ammunition and is extremely accurate at all
ranges, especially when combined with the 3x scope. It fires in three-round
bursts by holding the trigger down, and can fire single shots while in zoom
mode. IT has an integrated, digital ammo counter, to help the user know when
it's time to reload.
SMG: The M7 caseless Sub Machine Gun or SMG can fire a maximum
of 60 rounds per magazine. It's reliance on explosive chemical percussion makes
it erratic and difficult to control. Kinetic energy causes inaccurate
firing but the sheer number of projectiles more than compensates.
