Covenant Vehicles

Ghost: The Ghost is the Covenant's standard light reconnaissance and rapid attack vehicle Anti-gravity levitators and high speed belie the Ghost's two and a half ton weight, but the sprightly, maneuverable vehicle is a force to be reckoned with. It's fast, accelerates brutally, turns on a dime and is armed with a directed energy weapon capable of firing twin bolts of superheated plasma in the 100-250kW range. Its weakness is it passenger capacity - limited to just you, yourself and thee. That said, apart from the Banshee, it's the single fastest way to get around on Halo and is nimble enough to be used as a missile of sorts. Don't be confused by the top speed vs. the Warthog. On a long flat stretch, the Warthog is in fact slightly faster. However, this is Halo; there are very few long flat stretches. The Ghost also has a boost ability in Halo 2 to get around even faster but be warned while boosting you cannot fire and it is difficult to steer so it is not recommended you boost in combat situations. The Ghost can be piloted by brutes, grunts, and elites

Banshee: The Banshee is the Covenant's standard ground assault aircraft. It is very fast, extremely maneuverable and capable of hovering. It has two weapon pods mounted to either side of the fuselage. Each of these pods contains a light plasma cannon and a fuel rod cannon. Though small arms fire may disrupt or disable the pilot, only heavy weapons are capable of inflicting enough damage to destroy the vehicle. The Banshee is propelled by small anti-gravity pods attached to its wings. These pods create the field that keeps it flying, and make wailing sounds as the craft maneuvers, thus the name "Banshee". The Banshee's engines can be pushed to provide an excellent boost in speed, but at the cost of maneuverability and weapon power. Only an elite is allowed to pilot a banshee.

Crew: 1 pilot
Weight: 3.25 tons
Armament: Two Plasma Cannons (100-250 kW range)
Secondary Weapon: Two Fuel Rod Cannons
Propulsion: Boosted Gravity Propulsion Drive

Spectre: The Covenant's answer to the Warthog is the Spectre. This multi-troop armored transport is small and highly maneuverable and while slow, can easily move while in confined spaces. Main weaknesses are slow acceleration a and speed, and that occupants are fairly exposed. Rear-mounted plasma cannon is dangerous, and gives multiple firing positions. it also has a boost function much like the Ghost. The Spectre can be driven by elites.

Crew: 1 pilot + 1 gunner + 2 passengers
Armament: Plasma Cannon Turret
Propulsion: Boosted Gravity Propulsion Drive

Wraith: The Wraith mortar tank is the Covenant's main assault vehicle for ground engagements. It fires very large blots of plasma encased in a magnetic field up into the air. These bolts then rain down on enemy troops with tremendous force. Because the Wraith fires in an arc, rather than line-of-sight, this vehicle's attacks are very dangerous. The mortar can bypass most defenses that its enemies have established. It is equipped with anti-gravity plates underneath its mainframe allowing it to hover over any anti-vehicle mines that have been placed in its way. The pilot is protected from all small-arms fire and the vehicle can only be incapacitated by heavy weapons or artillery. The Wraith's engines can be pushed to provide an excellent boost in speed, but at the cost of maneuverability and weapon power. The wraith can be used by brutes and elites

Crew: 1 pilot
Weight: 45 tons
Armament:  Plasma Mortar (500-650 kW range), 2 Auto-firing Plasma Cannons
Propulsion: Boosted Gravity Propulsion Drive

Shadow: The Shadow is the Covenant's main troop transport for ground operations. It can hold a driver, gunner, and up to eight occupants depending on species of Covenant. Seems to be outfitted to carry Elites, Brutes, Grunts, and Jackals. Equipped with plasma cannon, but main purpose is to deploy infantry.

Crew: 1 driver + 8 passengers
Armament: Plasma Cannon Turret
Propulsion: Boosted Gravity Propulsion Drive

Covenant Cruiser: This is the main capitol ship in the Covenant space forces (there are others such as flagships and carriers also) some examples of Covenant Cruisers are Truth and Reconciliation or the Pious Inquisitor. Cruisers typically have a curved smooth outer hull that gives them an aquatic appearance somewhat like a whale. The Covenant Cruiser is very versatile, it is strong enough to engage other ships in space using its powerful plasma weapons or orbitally bombard the planet below, but is small enough to enter a planet's atmosphere serving as command headquarters and a source of supplies and reinforcements to troops on the planet below. The main use for cruisers is as support and transport of troops for ground operations Cruisers also has very strong energy shields that can only be brought down by the strongest weapons.
