Zeus

TIGR about Zeus
Hello my name is Zeus, I hope you will open your heart and home to me. I am shy and reserved, it takes a while for me to learn to trust you. I have had a rough past with some bad experiences with humans, so I'm not as friendly and trusting as I will be, given some time and understanding. I was hungry, skinny and my skin was in horrible condition when TIGR took me and my brother Rover in.
My main goal is to find a home that will give me a soft bed, good food and lots of love and understanding. I'm a small guy so I'm perfect for carrying around and being held. I really enjoy the company and companionship of another dog, I get along well with my foster siblings. I am learning to play. I don't like going outside as I was put outside and left out there so, I'm afraid when I'm put out that I won't be able to get back inside, but I am getting better with each passing day. Please give me a chance as I will be very loving and loyal to my forever person. I have attached myself to my foster mom and I rarely let her out of my sight at least not if I can help it. |
Willy
Contact
TIGR about Willy
Willy came to TIGR from an abuse case in East Texas and we believe he has spent his five years in a cage with little or no human interaction.
Willy, now in his foster home, is gaining weight and standing up straight. He is learning about life in a home and human contact. Presently he remains unsure of all of this freedom and will run and hide if he is approached. However, if you sit and call him he will ease his way up to you. He is learning about trust slowly but surely.
Willy loves treats, snuggling and reassurances. He is learning to walk on leash and to endure all the noises and distractions out in the big world. From all indications, Willy will become a terrific companion with consistency, love, reassurance and patience. He is fine with both large and small dogs. He crates easily and sleeps in bed with us at night.
He is well worth the extra attention and will reward you with lots of snuggles and kisses. |
Drifter
Contact
TIGR about Drifter
DRIFTER is adorable!! He has a very sweet personality and he barks, but usually talks like my male greyhound does — woooooo — it is so cute. He's just a typically little iggie pup that has been left outside and ignored so he doesn't know too much. He needs training on a leash and with potty habits - but doesn't bat an eye when I put a belly band on. He's easier to catch making a mistake than the others — they are sneaky about it — so he is learning.
Drifter gets along well with the other dogs and with cats and loves toys and to play. He is very inquisitive and into everything. He loves to eat and I am trying to put a little weight on him. He also loves sleeping in bed under the covers — he is so happy to be in the house and getting attention.
Drifter is very, very sweet and loving, and he loves to be petted and will rub his head on you. (fostering in Corpus Christi) |

Lady Louise
Contact
TIGR about Lady Louise
Lady Louise is a stately blue lady of ten years. She came to us from a breeder where she lived in a cage having litter after littler of puppies for her entire life. But despite this, she is one of the sweetest little girls one could ever meet. She is very loving and attaches herself to her human very closely. She loves nothing more than to sit on your lap during the day and cuddle with you in bed all night long. She is also very loving and protective of other little dogs, and I think she would do best in a home with another small companion dog. Since she is an older dog, she cannot make it all day without being let outside, so the best situation for her would be in a home with someone who is home, either working from the home or retired. She would do well with older children who are very gentle and are patient with her, as she is not very playful, much preferring to nap and snuggle.
Because she was given no dental care during her life, all of her teeth were in very bad condition and had to be removed. She will need to be on soft food for the rest of her life. She was also diagnosed with erlichia, a blood disease carried by ticks, for which she has been treated. She will need to be tested again in about 6 months to see if the treatment was successful. This is a disease a dog can live with as long as she is monitored throughout her life. Lady Louise, despite her health considerations, would be a wonderful, loving addition to the right family who will open their hearts to this precious, special needs, senior girl. |
Shadow
Contact
TIGR about Shadow
Shadow is a great guy. He's a tad scared of men but loves the women. He also gets along with other dogs. He currently shares a home with another IG and a Maltese. He has his moments of play time with the younger Maltese but likes to cuddle humans and the other dogs. He doesn't like to be alone but loves the sun like all Iggys. |
Red
the Whippet
Contact
TIGR about Red
Red needs someone
very special and willing to spend some one on one time with him.
Red is a very active dog, but quiets down at bedtime where he becomes
the world's best snuggler in bed. At this point Red is not a crateable
Whippet. He really needs to be with another dog because of this
activity level and would probably get into more trouble without
a companion to play with. He tends to be a barker and somewhat of
an escape artist. He has dug under a wooden fence and climped a
chain link fence. He is good about going out the doggie door. His
foster mom loves Red and thinks he hung the moon! |
