Clean Up Dive Schedule
INTERNATIONAL BEACH CLEANUP DAY
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2008
HAIGH QUARRY, NEAR KANKAKEE,ILLINOIS
This is the 23rd year of this annual event, the world's largest one-day volunteer effort to clean the aquatic environment.  The event is coordinated by the Ocean Conservancy and PADI/Project Aware.  With a unique view beneath the surface, divers see first-hand the harmful effects of debris.  Participating in International Beach Cleanup Day is a great way for divers to give back.
Again this year ICSSD and its member clubs will be doing their part at the popular dive spot, Haigh Quarry, performing a Zebra Mussel roundup.  There will be food and drink as well as prizes.  Bring a container to hold the mussels, ideally a wide-mouth 32 oz. juice bottle works well.  The mussels can go in but can't get out easily.

Certification Cards, Dive Floats/Flags,
and signing waivers REQUIRED!
To view and print an Adobe Acrobat .pdf copy of this waiver click here.
We still need a coordinator for future cleanups!!!
Please step forward!!!
It would be nice to schedule several clean-up dives in 2009.
