Top three teams in 2009 Daisy Outdoor Products and other organizations annually sponsor the Shooting Education Program to teach young people gun safety and introduce them to the sport of shooting. Daisy Outdoor Products announces NO registration fees for 2010 IBBGCM BB Gun Match The 2010 BB Gun match will be Friday July 2-4 and Air Rifle on July 4-6. Daisy is pleased to announce that the 45th annual International BB Gun Championship Match will be held, in 2010, in Rogers, Arkansas, home of Daisy. In addition to the 5-meter BB gun match, we’ll also host a 10-meter air rifle match. The match has been held in many locations around the country, but never in the company’s hometown of Rogers. For 16 of the past 44 years, including the past 6 years, the match has been held at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Western Kentucky University has been a great place to conduct the match and the city of Bowling Green has been very cooperative and supportive. But bringing the match “home” to Rogers, Arkansas is a goal we’ve had for some time. Rogers and the entire Northwest Arkansas region has experienced tremendous growth in recent years and now has facilities which will accommodate the current needs of our event as well as the growth we anticipate in the future. The practices, opening and closing ceremonies, the matches, coaches’ meeting, barter bar, concession stand and written test will all be held on the campus of Rogers High School, a state-of-the-art public school facility. Rogers is easy to navigate and it will be a short drive from the hotel to the RHS campus, to Daisy and to the Rogers Daisy Airgun Museum. Hotels, restaurants, shopping and activities are plentiful and we believe that you’ll enjoy your visit to our hometown. In the near future, we’ll be announcing the host hotel and providing you with a link to our Convention & Visitors’ Bureau through which you can easily book your rooms for this event - at our host or other recommended and negotiated hotels. In the meantime, you can visit www.visitrogersarkansas.com to get a feel for this area and what it has to offer. Periodically, we’ll be sending out emails and posting additional information to www.daisy.com/ibbgcm/ regarding the match itself as well as recommended activities in and around Rogers. On arrival, you’ll receive a complete packet of this information, schedules, map and discount offers. The dates of the 2010 IBBGCM and 10-Meter Air Rifle match are as follows:Thursday, July1st-Practice Friday, July 2nd Practice and Opening Ceremonies Saturday, July 3rd BB Match Competition, Safety Test and Barter Bar Sunday, July 4th BB Match Competition, 10-meter Air Rifle practice, BB Match Award Ceremonies Monday July 5th 10-Meter Air Rifle Competition Tuesday July 6th 10-Meter Air Rifle Competition and Awards Ceremony In case you can’t tell, we’re pretty excited about having you come visit us in our hometown. We’re not big on rolling out red carpets but we’re proud to be able to have you visit our offices and assembly facility, show you our restored antique neon sign with moving BB and give you a personal tour of the world’s only Rogers Daisy Airgun Museum in historic downtown Rogers. We’re proud of this area and our City is proud of Daisy. Our Mayor, Chamber of Commerce, Public School Administration and Convention and Visitors’ Bureau all join us in welcoming you and wanting to show you the best of what Rogers has to offer and the best of our City’s hospitality. This being the first time the event has been held in Rogers, there will be new opportunities, new ideas and lots of questions. We’re going to do everything possible to make your visit and your match a memorable one. We’ve been building up to this for 45 years! We now have a discussion board for coaches and parents to share information and ask questions and get asistance from other coaches.
