| Not that I'm biased or anything, but I think Clarissa was
one of the cutest puppies in the world. People ask me why she is
"in prison" for her puppy picture. Well, that was about
the only time I could catch her still enough to take anything but an
action photo! Clarissa won Best Puppy in Match at her very first
all-breed fun match as a puppy.

| As Clarissa's tongue shows, she had just had a wild romp
when this photo was taken. I like this picture because I think it
shows her wicked sense of humor and mischievous personality.
Clarissa was not destined for the conformation or obedience rings,
however, she proved her Belgian worth by awakening me in the middle of the
night where I discovered a fire at the next
door neighbor's house. Due to her alertness, damage was limited to a
charred fence and soffits. She was a cooperative "demo dog" for my
beginning obedience classes and always tried her best to please me. Clarissa was a generous gift from Linda
Newsome and I am so grateful that she was my treasured companion for
nearly 13 years.

| AAAHHHHHH-CHOOOOOO!!!! As you can see,
Clarissa's little face was getting frosty at 10 years of age, but she was
still as spry and agile as a dog half her age. Clarissa easily leapt
into her second story "condo" for meals until just days before
her passing. She bossed both the boy dogs around mercilessly, sticking
toys in their faces
and daring them to try to take it away.
