Someone has said: "Today is the FIRST day of the rest of your life." I ask myself and you what should we do -- Try to resolve all our main dissatisfactions -- Take a vacation to some new place -- Quit our job -- Go for a medical exam to search for the source of our pain? Some of us need MAJOR CHANGES in our lives.

Now look at your life from the perspective of this being the LAST DAY of your earthly life; and IT MAY BE. If you were to die today where will you be tomorrow? You might say: "who knows the answer to that question?" God knows, Jesus knows, Christians should know. The Lord told the newly converted thief on the side cross: "... today you will be with me in paradise," Luke 23:43,NIV. Jesus knew He and the thief would physically die soon. And, the cross was not paradise. It was a horrible and heinous punishment to death.

How could a real sinner such as this thief go to a holy paradise of God with God's Son? This sinner on the next cross ASKED/PRAYED Jesus to remember him in HIS KINGDOM, verse 42. You need to ask Jesus to come into your heart and life NOW/TODAY. You can if you will. The Apostle Paul affirms: "...for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved," Romans 10:13.NIV.

As a CHRISTIAN how would you or I like to spend our last day here on the earth? Surely, we would be fully involved in our Lord's service with full conscience attention to love of one-another; and reaching out again to unsaved persons by every means; email, telephone, letters, visits to tell and urge repentance and faith in the risen living Lord for new life. This is what the Apostle Paul admonished in Romans 13:..."the hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber...." CHRISTIAN AWAKE, the field is waiting for laborers to work in the harvest; souls are dying. Men and women are lost in themselve and without God in their lives. They need to hear the message of forgiveness and fresh new life in Christ Jesus the LORD of life and eternity.
