Whenever we enter into a sexual relatonship we either follow God's plan or the world's, man's and Satan's plan. Consequently, there is a godly ordered sexual relationship or ungodly sexual activity. God's plan is fully good, blessed and honorable. It is above reproach and follows God's first directive to Adam and Eve to bring children into the world. Every new-born child is a gift from God which is given to the parents for their care and nurturing in the fear and comforts of God.

First, sexual union is a unity of the husband and wife under God of joyous fellowship, blissfully enjoyed; secondly, sexual union gives conception its occasion. Same sex relationships violate the distinction of the husband and wife as ordered of God in Genesis 1:27-28, 2:22f, 4:1.

Further, God in His Word clearly bans same sex (male with male and consequently female with female) sex acts, Gen.19:5-8; Ex. 22:19; Lev.18:22-23; 20:13-15, 16; Deut.23:17; 27:21 plus other references and situations in the Old Testament (some of these passages include and equate same sex relations with that of sex with beasts).

All of this is accounted as abominable to God and worthy of destruction; remember that the Jews of the Old Testament were the chosen family/people to represent Jehovah/God and to be holy as God is holy, outwardly as well as inwardly; to violate this trust was like an extreme virus among the family of God which would bring the family of God into reproach and extinction among the peoples of the earth.

In the New Testament, again, same sex relationships are clearly spoken against as in Romans 1:24,26-27;I Cor. 6:9 and I Tim. 1:9-10. Therefore, there is no Biblical way to encourage homosexuality but rather, as with all other sin, to call for repentance and rehabilitation into the new life of holiness and wholeness of the spirit, mind and body.

Same sex addicts should be encouraged to seek spiritually sound guidance towards deliverance and the joy of God in Christ. This is the life which Christ Jesus came to provide for all of us.

Although we Christians have rejected the homosexual lifestyle, treating homosexuals individually as people who may have many skills and talents and are equally created by God, we must condemn this demeaning unnatural sexual perversion, believing that homosexual activity is not holy, separated from sin, or spiritually uplifting.

Many homosexuals behave in a disgraceful unbecoming manner while flaunting an odd irresponsibility. Is it not time for the Christians of our country to make a clear statement to homosexuals in public and personally that we are not going to support them in their indecent and distasteful actions whether in public or privately?

HOMOSEXUAL REFORMATION/REHABILITATION

While homosexuality is rejected and condemned in the Bible, the Bible offers a way of escape through Jesus Christ and His Church. First, homosexuality must be rejected by the homosexual as being perverted and unclean sin in its nature. He/she must have a change of mind/attitude about homosexual practices for all people including him/her self. He/she must confess the practice of this addicting sin and his/her powerlessness to change and to quit doing it without God and Jesus Christ. The Church, including everyone in the Church, must apply itself toward supporting the repentant homosexual in his/her abstinence from homosexual relationships and involvements. Also, the pastor/counselor needs to counsel this person towards developing a new and true perception of who he/she is gender-wise and how to develop a truly godly view of what is a sexual relationship of holy bonds through a heterosexual relationship with a wife or husband.

Our message must be one condemning the sin and its practice and also the escape from it, in Christ's redemptive love.
