Sunset Beach Area Overview
Sunset Beach is 3 miles long. It is accessible by a one-lane pontoon bridge, making it the only North Carolina barrier island without a high-rise bridge. This island is residential and family-oriented, unlike it's neighbor to the south, Myrtle Beach. Vacationers who want a quiet coastal place will find Sunset Beach to their liking. As with all of the beaches on the southern coast, quality golfing is available on the mainland. For fishing enthusiasts, there is a full-service pier. Sunset Beach offers a special delight: a walk to Bird Island. Bird Island is state- owned and is completely untouched by development.
Sunset Beach and the South Brunswick Islands have much more than golf, fishing and beautiful clean, wide beaches that are 75 to 100 yards wide at low tide. It's having all that within easy reach of restaurants, shopping, entertainment, airports, cultural and educational opportunities – everything you'd expect to find in a sophisticated cosmopolitan area that makes Sunset Beach unique. Many visitors enjoy the area so much they return year after year. Many purchase second homes or relocate here permanently

My husband, son, and I enjoyed your villa, Sea Trail, and Sunset Beach tremendously. Your ad on the Internet was very helpful in making last minute plans most fruitful. Hope to do this again next summer for a longer stay.

We drove here from Ohio to be with my sister’s family. We had a wonderful time at the beach. Sunset Beach is special in comparison to Myrtle Beach. Enjoyed jogging and tennis but did not play golf. The condo is a great setup for a family get together/vacation. It is well decorated and furnished. Thanks for making it available.

This was our first time visiting Sunset Beach and we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it is…..clean and when the tide is low, very wide—80 to 100 yards wide. Condo was very roomy and nice. Visited recommended Dockside Restaurant in Calabash for melt-in-your-mouth scallops and shrimp. Also went to Roberto’s Italian Restaurant for homemade pasta and pizza—also very good. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

Our second visit to Sea Trail and we once again had a great time. Your condo is great and it was really nice after a day of great golf (well great courses anyway) to sit on the porch and watch the golfers go by. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and workout facilities. Found Roberto’s Italian Restaurant and, of course, Derbster’s Sports Bar. Thanks for sharing your place.

Our first visit to Sunset Beach—we are originally from Wilmington, NC but now reside in Temple Hills, MD. Tennis in the early morning, breakfast, the beach, lunch, sight seeing, beach or tennis again, and back to the villa for dinner. From the screen porch to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine or Jack and coke with lime, and to watch a blue jay or squirrel scamper about the fairway, the sound of a truck or car…a tune by Beethoven, Bach, or Strauss. What a lovely place for peace and fun. We will return again.
