Thorne was a bit of a surprise. We expected a ghost town with a few buildings standing. This picture is of the only thing left in Thorne. The sign that claims "5 Tracks" gives an indication of how busy this must have been in its heyday. Of course, when you see all the bunkers from World War II, Korea, and Viet Nam, you know this was one busy place. It's too bad that more isn't preserved here.
