Training Opportunities for Scouts
- Junior Leader Training for scout youth leaders in
various roles, a mini version of Woodbadge. A quick
course can be done in-troop, a one-week course during the
holidays. is more thorough and more rewarding. We should
also look at Monterey's 3-phase White Stag program
(www.whitestag.org)(June),
it has three levels, patrol members, patrol leaders, and
SPL level. Also can join Santa Clara Council's Bristlecone
Course (August?). Other co8uncils run training as well.
- Den Chief Training for scout youth leaders, a
one-day session. A great aid to recruitment.
For current info. and questions always call the San Mateo
scout service center.
