Who:
12 scouts, 7 dads, two teachers from Borel Middle School (21 total)

Pre-trip conditioning, and a can-do attitude
Distance:
over 17 miles round trip from Curry Village (on foot) on the valley floor (we all made it) , 4,800 ft elevation gain
Accomodations:
Tent Cabins in Curry Village
Trip Coordinator:
Mr. Levin

Mr. Hitchings
Experience:
Mr. Levin and Mr. Hitchings did this hike in 1997
Excitement:
Sleeping in tent cabins below an imminent rockfall below Glacier Point
Notable successes:
Starting very early to hike in the cool of the morning, no one got any form of heat illness, we all made it to the top and back on our own two feet, we did not get crushed in our sleep by falling rocks, the cafeteria was still open (just) when the last two hikers dragged their weary bones in.
