A limited number of these events will be staged, each Troop or Crew is expected to host an event

Bonus Points (if sky clear) - identify constellations on Saturday evening

Snowshoe Relay - timed, possibly with backpacks, possibly use aides to "dress" the runner, stomp out a race oval before the 1st race

Jumbo Ski - 2x4 skis with foot-loops, four "skiers" (cooperation test) - it’s a real hoot, stomp out a track first, a one-way run is sufficient

Catapult - launch snowballs out on to the lake or field - measure off using a pre-deployed marked tape on the lake or field surface - judged on aerial distance plus sliding distance if on a frozen lake

Hasty Shelter Building - build a mini semi-trench shelter (or other type) large enough for the smallest Scout in the patrol (or maybe a large stuffed toy), "branches" and tarps may be supplied as needed

Whiteout (Blind Sled Race) – a sighted Scout verbally directs a sled with blindfolded Scout Musher and “dogs” – can be used on a between-City leg

Dead Dogs and Broken Sled  – your sled dogs have died and the sled is broken, you unpack the sled and carry it and the cargo from one town to another, better plan ahead, no cargo is allowed to remain on the sled

Snow Shelter  – build a Quinzee or Igloo or other snow-only shelter that can sleep at least 2 Scouts and keep them warm

1. All events may score higher with evidence of Patrol and Scout Spirit

2. Patrol sled must carry event-related cargo over the entire competition course, from event (town) to event
