Activities: This day trip invovled a short hike in to the Goat Rock area. We installed two top-ropes. The scouts then climbed up the face of goat Rock while being belayed from the top of the rock. Once at the top, scouts were given the option of descending using a j-bar (brake-bar), a fail-safe method of descending, invented by cavers. Some of the scouts took this option.
